(NECN/ABC) - Oscar winning writer and direct Paul Haggis is ending his involvement with the Church of Scientology after being a member for 35 years.
He says part of the reason was the Churches refusal to denounce one of it's chapters for supporting California's Proposition 8 which bans gay marriage.
Sean Penn is taking on the role of citizen journalist again.
This time on a trip to Cuba.

The Olsen twins are designing a new line of clothes for JC Penny's
The juniors line called Olsenboye will include everything from jeans and dresses to bags and shoes, all in the $20 to $50 range.
The designs go on sale November 6th.
Michael Jackson's movie "This is It" premieres in Los Angeles Tuesday night.
It's expected to be a star studded event.
The movie opens to the public Wednesday and advance tickets are a hot seller online.
