| October 30, 2009 Review: This Is It
|
(NECN: Jay Carr) - Containing footage from the final rehearsals before his death, This Is It brings the Michael Jackson to the silver screen.
Jackson may be gone, but his last gasp lives on in this nearly two hour compilation.
It is drawn from 100 hours of footage of preparations for the comeback tour he was never able to perform, but seems hastily and even crudely cobbled together.
His unplanned finale gave us glimpses of what made him the King of Pop. His confident dancing and strutting proved to be the real key to his appeal.
It suggests that while he may have had trouble figuring out the rest of the world, he knew exactly what to do on stage.
