(NECN) - You've heard of the Harlem Globetrotters, now meet the Granny Globetrotters.

These women travel across Texas, competing in basketball tournaments for ladies in their 80s. But they have the spunk of 20-year-olds.

Their secret weapon is a 93-year-old player, Lavern Raish, who the other teams usually underestimate.

Laverne says she gets a little mad when she misses a basket.

But in the end the game is an outlet for fun and laughter - not scores and statistics.
