Bruins' Krejci diagnosed with swine flu; Bergeron says no need to panic

(NECN: Boston, Mass.) - Boston Bruins forward David Krejci has been diagnosed with the H1N1 (swine) flu. Today, the 23-year-old's teammates reacted to the news, and what they are doing to avoid the virus and keep their minds on the ice.

"I'm looking forward to tonight. It's my second game against Montreal since last year," said Steve Begin.

"We've been having trouble the last few games...would be great tonight to score some goals," said Begin.

"I hope he gets better. He will," said Thornton. "He'll get healthy and we'll get back to work with him," said Shawn Thornton.

"This time of year, you have to be maybe a little more precautionary, but I don't think it is as big of a deal as you guys make it out to be," said Thornton.

"It's a good opportunity for me (to be called up)," said Lehtonen Mikko. "I try to help the team as much as I can."

"I think there is going to be more causes, obviously, throughout the NHL because we travel so much," said Derek Morris.

"I got three boys, so they are always telling me to wash my hands...we have hand sanitizer everywhere," said Morris.

"It's unfortunate that he has it, and I hope he gets better as soon as possible, but I think the H1N1 mania is overblown," said goalie Tim Thomas.

"You can't panic. You can't be afraid of it," said Patrice Bergeron.

The club said Krejci will be kept away from the team until he has had no symptoms or fever for 24 hours.
