(NECN/ABC: Austin, TX) - It's called the Clinton Global Initiative.
The purpose behind this project is to get students thinking about service on a global scale.
Over a thousand college students converged on the UT campus Friday to help President Bill Clinton change the world.
In a kick off speech Clinton said our financial crisis pales in comparison to what other countries are going through.
In an effort to encourage the students to commit their lives to service, he introduced some people who already have.
Natalie Portman explained what drove her to make a difference.
Portman's determination ended up steering her towards a mission to help those living in poverty.
She has star power on her side, but Clinton made everyone feel like they could move mountains.
Over the next two days, he'll help them find their nitch.
