November 7, 2009 Army: Over 100 rounds fired in Fort Hood attack Play video

(NECN: Fort Hood, TX) - Army Col. John Rossi, deputy commander at Fort Hood says over 100 rounds were fired during Thursday's attack.

13 people were killed, and 30 wounded in the attack. Rossi says there was never a point where they lost control of the suspect, Major Nidal Malik Hasan after he was taken down.

Rossi confirmed that the weapons used in the attack were not military issued, but "privately owned" and "purchased locally".
