Broadside: Predictors of violence in the workplace

(NECN) - On this segment of Broadside, Jim Braude shares a report which first aired on National Public Radio. Yesterday, Reporter Daniel Zwerdling did an interview with NPR host Steve Inskeep.

Police say Major Nidal Malik Hasan killed 13 people and injured 30 others before he was shot by a civilian police officer. An Army spokesperson says Hasana was scheduled to deploy to Afghanistan to counsel soldiers suffering from combat stress.

Zwerdling portrayed the disturbing behavior of Major Hasan, as described by a colleague at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

Bruce Cedar, an expert in the causes and prevention of workplace violence joins Jim to discuss the Fort Hood, and Orlando office shootings.
