November 7, 2009 Vermont ski area opens Saturday

KILLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Killington Resort is getting an early jump on winter.

The Vermont ski area plans to open Saturday for the weekend.

At least four trails served by two lifts will be open on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. No easy terrain will be available.

Killington plans to reopen again next weekend, weather permitting.

Early season lift ticks are $49 for adults and $39 for juniors.
