BOSTON (AP) - President Barack Obama is scheduled to give a speech on clean energy at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology while in town for a fundraiser for Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick.

The White House has announced Tuesday that the speech Friday will be addressed to state and community leaders, business leaders, MIT students and staff.

The president is scheduled to arrive in Boston around 11:30 a.m., and will leave about four hours later.

His MIT address will take place at noon in the Kresge Auditorium.

Following the speech, Obama will head to a luncheon fundraiser for Patrick at the Westin Copley Place Hotel's American Ballroom.
