Worcester State University Police say they have received a report of an alleged armed sexual assault on campus.
University Police on the central Massachusetts campus say the attack using a silver knife occurred earlier in the week, but was not reported until Wednesday night.
The victim of the attack is a Worcester State University student and is being supported by the university's counseling services.
The alleged attacker is unknown to police. No description is available at this time.
The investigation is on-going.
