Police are at the scene of a reported bomb threat at Swampscott High School. Students are being evacuated from the school, and could be dismissed for the day.
Assistant Principal Frank Kowalski said the threat was called in at 10 a.m., and the school was evacuated at that time. A second call was then received, re-emphasizing the threat. At that point, officials decided to dismiss school for the day.
The school was searched, and nothing was found.
Kowalski said it is believed that the person who called in the threat is a student. The incident remains under investigation.
