Five swimmers were rescued off the coast of Hampton Beach in New Hampshire Friday evening, authorities confirmed.
The Hampton Fire Department said before 7 p.m. that it was on the scene searching for three missing swimmers. After 7:30, they confirmed that those swimmers were safe.
In total, fire officials say five adolescents needed assistance in the water. The swimmers were caught in a rip current.
When fire crews arrived, life guards had already brought two of the swimmers back to shore. A short time later, life guards brought the remaining three swimmers back.
None of the rescued swimmers needed medical treatment.
