Expect Sporadic Downpours, High Humidity Levels

Storm pattern takes hold over region bringing more rainy weather this week

What to Know

  • Expect sporadic periods of heavy rains and downpours through this evening
  • Some areas along the coast could see gusts up to 30 or 40 MPH
  • Higher humidity and more rain expected through Wednesday as new weather pattern stalls over region

A new weather pattern has arrived in New England, and it isn’t going anywhere fast.

The steadiest rain on Sunday comes during the morning. By afternoon the activity will be much more hit and miss, with many breaks in the action. A few hints of sun may even develop, but it stays very humid for all. Highs will be in the 70s and 80s.

Winds will be strong at the coast as well, gusting 30-40 MPH and kicking up some big waves on the South Coast, Cape, and Islands.

Monday brings more humidity and more pop up downpours and storms. It will not be raining all day, but when it does rain, it will come down heavily.

The risk of rain is lower on Tuesday and Wednesday, with a mixture of sun and clouds across the Boston area. There still may be a few showers, especially far north and west.

The unsettled pattern continues through the end of the week.
