Former Mexican President Ernesto Zedillo to Speak at Brown

A former president of Mexico is speaking at Brown University.

Ernesto Zedillo is giving an address about globalization and participating in a discussion moderated by University President Christina Paxson on Monday at the university's campus in Providence.

The event is free and open to the public, but attendees must register in advance. It will be streamed on the university website.

Zedillo is the director of the Yale Center for the Study of Globalization in New Haven, Connecticut. He served as president of Mexico from 1994 to 2000.

The event is part of a lecture series in memory of Stephen A. Ogden Jr., Class of 1960. Ogden died in 1963 from injuries he suffered in a car accident during his junior year.

Zedillo's address is titled "Challenging the Challengers of Globalization."
