Human remains found on a Massachusetts beach Wednesday have been identified as belonging to a missing woman who was last seen in November, authorities said Friday.
Massachusetts' Office of the Chief Medical Examiner says that the human remains found on King's Beach in Swampscott Wednesday morning belong to 25-year-old Jaimee Mendez of Swampscott, who was last seen on Nov. 6.
Authorities say the identification was made through dental records.
The remains were found around 8 a.m. near two lobster traps, authorities said.
A cause and manner of death has not yet been determined, and the investigation into Mendez's death is ongoing.
