Massachusetts State Police confirm a motorcyclist from Rhode Island was killed in Sutton Friday night.
At 8:50 p.m., police responded to the single-motorcycle crash on Route 146 southbound at the on-ramp from Purgatory Road. The motorcyclist, later identified as 31-year-old Jose Ramos of Pawtucket, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary investigation reveals speed was a factor in the crash, but police say the cause remains under investigation.
