Powerful Gusts Approaching New England Soon

Lots of sunshine will start the week as high pressure is in control. However, conditions will change quickly and by Monday evening, clouds will thicken due to another storm system that’s gathering strength in the Deep South.

Our Tuesday morning will be soaked and bring the possibility or river and stream flooding along with some gusty winds. These winds threaten the region with some isolated power outages.

This system will hurry in late Monday night, with the Tuesday morning commute wrestling downpours and an increasing wind.

Strong winds develop on the South Shore, Cape & Islands during the morning- gusts up to 60 mph by midday. Greater Boston should see gusts near 30, but it’s not expected to be of a damaging nature.
