Several People Injured in Head-on Crash

Everyone involved was injured and taken to Central Vermont Medical Center

Authorities say multiple people were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Vermont.

Sgt. Paul Thayer tells The Times Argus the accident happened around 12:30 p.m. Sunday in Barre near a Veterans of Foreign Wars post.

Police say 57-year-old Patricia Jarvis was traveling on East Barre Road when she crossed the center line and collided head-on with another car driven by 23-year-old Logan Merrill. Both vehicles were totaled.

Thayer says Merrill was traveling with another man and two children. Jarvis also had a young passenger in the car.

Everyone involved was injured and taken to Central Vermont Medical Center. Merrill suffered the most serious injuries and was taken to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover.

The crash remains under investigation.
