Woman Dies Following Stabbing in Lewiston, Maine

Police in Maine are investigating the stabbing death of a woman in front of a laundromat in Lewiston on Sunday.

Kimberly Dobbie, 48, died at Central Maine Medical Center after she was stabbed around 11 a.m. at Rancourt's Laundromat on Sabattus Street in downtown Lewiston. The mother of two, ages 6 and 8, had just started a load of laundry and had gone outside the building with her two children when the attack took place.

A suspect, whose name is yet to be released, is currently hospitalized after reporting chest pains. Charges are yet to be filed.

In addition to her children, other witnesses were also present, including a man who tackled the suspect before Lewiston Police arrived on the scene.
