The main cafeteria at Merrimack College was forced to close after an infestation of cockroaches was found, according to the Eagle Tribune.
The paper reports the Health Department received complaints about the conditions in the Sakowich Center and that officials found “unsanitary conditions and pest infestations.”
The cafeteria was closed Monday and a pest control specialist was called in within 30 minutes of the reported findings.
Students who spoke to the Eagle Tribune said they were told the cafeteria was closed, but were not given a reason as to why.
Officials said the cafeteria would be closed 24 – 48 hours.
