Nonprofit Helps Low Income Families Fill Homes With Furniture
A single mom who recently moved to Massachusetts was approved to get free furniture from Project Home Again, a nonprofit that uses donations to help low income families fill their homes with necessities. The Merrimack Valley based nonprofit recently hit a milestone when it opened a new “store” in Andover. Nancy Kanell started PHA 16 years ago in her minivan in a simple effort to help a friend. Now, along with the new location, she has a new operating plan from an unexpected source. As that state’s movie industry goes, so to do donations to her charity. Half of the donations in the store are from movie sets. Monica Madeja reports:
