The controversy over holiday coffee cups keeps on brewing.
Amid backlash against Starbucks' plain red design, Canton, Massachusetts-based Dunkin' Donuts has released holiday cups featuring the word "Joy," along with images of wreaths and holly.
It comes as competing coffee giant Starbucks faces scrutiny over this year's simpler theme. Some religious conservatives have suggested Starbucks' new cups are part of a movement to phase out Christmas-specific holiday decorations.

The holiday cup controversy is trending on social media, and even has Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump chiming in.
"If I become president, we're all going to be saying, 'Merry Christmas' again. That I can tell you," he said Monday, urging a boycott of Starbucks in response to the minimalist holiday cups.
Starbucks has not responded directly to the criticism, but touted its "vintage Christmas Blend 2015" on Tuesday, one of several Christmas-themed products available in stores.
