A boy who was reported missing in Chelsea, Massachusetts, has been located in Cambridge.
The Chelsea Police Department and Massachusetts State Police had said the 11-year-old boy, who is autistic and nonverbal, had last been seen Tuesday afternoon. Authorities in multiple communities took part in a search.
State police said on social media that the boy had been found by the Cambridge Police Department around 7 p.m. He is believed to have taken a bus to that city.
Police thanked everyone who shared their alerts about the missing child.
The boy has been reunited with his mother and will be evaluated as a precaution.
