LITCHFIELD, Maine (AP) - A warden service airplane and its pilot made an emergency landing on the Maine Turnpike. A couple of hours later, the plane took off again.
Officials said no one was hurt when the airplane landed in the northbound lanes in Litchfield shortly before 9 a.m. A game warden spokesman says pilot Dan Dufault had to land because the single-engine plane had "some sort of fuel problem."
The plane had a wildlife biologist on board, along with the pilot.
A search of the Federal Aviation Administration database shows the plane is a military trainer version of the Cessna 172.
The plane was parked off the highway at an abandoned service area for several hours before taking off again.
