JERICHO, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police say a 15-year-old Mount
Mansfield Union High School student is dead after apparently
shooting himself at the school.
Police responded to a 911 call Tuesday morning at the Jericho
school about an unresponsive male in a bathroom.
The student was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police say the initial investigation indicates the student
suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police say they are
considering it as a possible suicide but are still investigating.
No one else was involved.
Officials at the school district say students and the building
are safe and police are on the scene.
School will remain in session for the rest of exams on Tuesday.
