Vacationing Without Breaking the Bank

(NECN) - As the economy continues to struggle, families are struggling to make ends meet, and that often means taking a family vacation is out of the question.

But that doesn't necessarily have to be the case. "Travel Mom" Emily Kaufman visited NECN to talk about some crafty cost-cutting ideas that could work for your family.

She says the internet is a great tool for finding great deals, and there are many websites out there that specialize on taking a trip on a budget.

She says places like seaworldcares.com offers $5 children's tickets online with a full-price adult ticket to SeaWorld, and the money benefits wildlife conservation.

There are also plenty of travel agents that specialize in places like Orlando and other vacation destinations, and they can help customers figure out the best place for everyone in the family.

"Nobody should have to compromise on vacation," she says. Like people, "every vacation has a unique personality."
