(NECN) - Wareham, Mass. Police are investigating an assault involving a man impersonating a police officer.
The incident happened over the weekend on Main Street in West Wareham.
A woman told police that a mid-sized SUV or truck signaled her to pull over, and a man claiming to be an officer told her she had a tail light out.
According to the woman, she expressed doubt that the man was an officer and began to drive away -when he struck her in the face with a flashlight.
The woman suffered minor injuries.
