Multiple people were injured when a car crashed into a home overnight in Abington, Massachusetts, and now the 18-year-old driver is facing charges.

The Abington Fire department says the vehicle struck the High Street house around midnight.

Residents of the home were in a different part of the house when the collision happened and were not injured in the incident, the fire department said. Three people inside the vehicle were hurt, though, and were taken to a local hospital.

Officials haven't said what caused the crash, but Abington police say the driver will be charged with driving to endanger and a marked lanes violation. Their name hasn't been released.

The home was evacuated after the crash, and power was cut to the house, the fire department said. It is uninhabitable at this time.

Further details were not immediately available.
