President Joe Biden arrived on Nantucket on Tuesday evening ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, which has been a longstanding tradition for the Biden family.
The president, alongside first lady Jill Biden, departed Washington Tuesday afternoon and arrived around 6 p.m. Earlier, the president delivered remarks in the Ros Garden announcing a ceasefire deal between Israel and Hezbollah.
The Bidens began their tradition of spending Thanksgiving on Nantucket before they married in 1977. They've stayed on the island each year of Biden's presidency.
The Bidens are expected to remain on the island through Saturday, with no public events on the president's official agenda.
