A man was seriously injured in a shooting Wednesday morning in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood.
Police responded just after 8 a.m. to Fernboro Street, where the victim was found with a gunshot wound. He was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, but authorities say he is expected to survive.
Later Wednesday, 48-year-old Carlos Encarnacion of Dorchester was arrested in Framingham, Massachusetts, according to Boston police.
Encarnacion is charged with armed assault with intent to murder. He is also facing charges for unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Police say Encarnacion will be arraigned Thursday in Dorchester District Court. It was not immediately clear if he had an attorney.
