A Door Dash driver was shot in New Haven on Friday night, according to Yale police. He told investigators the shooting happened during a road rage incident.
Yale police said someone in a black four-door sedan shot the driver in the groin in the area of Whitney Avenue and Sachem Street just after 5:30 p.m. and the driver sought medical treatment.
The victim is a 45-year-old New Haven man and his injuries are not life-threatening, according to police.
The victim told New Haven police that he was involved in a road rage incident when another driver shot him. Authorities did not release any details about the shooter the type of vehicle the person had.
The New Haven Police Department is investigating.
