A Massachusetts driver is facing charges after crashing into two parked cars and a home in Lynn overnight and then taking off, police said.

Police were called to Lynnfield Street at about 3 a.m. Wednesday where authorities said a Volkswagen Golf damaged two parked cars in a driveway and severely damaged the deck of another home.

"They wiped out the porch next-door and our two cars, one worse than the other," resident Arnaldo Rivera said.

Another resident, Bob Conlon, said he was sleeping when the SUVs belonging to him and his wife were damaged in their own driveway.

Neighbors said they heard the commotion and watched as the damaged car drove off in the opposite direction.

"You just hear the engines revving, metal squeaking on metal and somebody taking off," Conlon recalled.

Police said they later found the Volkswagen abandoned and towed it away.

After tracking down the owner, Alonzo Robinson, of Lynn, he was cited with negligent operation of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident.

No injuries were reported.
