Ending The Workweek With Rain

High temperatures were in overdrive today across New England. Summer came early to many as highs spiked into the low 80s!

We'll set the numbers back tomorrow with a batch of rain along a cool front. Thunderstorm parameters are marginal, so if we get a few rumbles, I'm not expecting anything severe. Best chance for storms will be in Western New England by early aftenroon.

That rain line will sweep east throughout the day. A good soaking is in order for most spots with this line, so it should make up for a week's worth of drying from the sun. (Lawns and gardens need a drink!)

Saturday is sandwiched between two fronts. As one departs, the other brings in clouds late day. Showers should hold off until sunset...or later in Eastern New England.

Sunday sees a shot of chilly air dive into New England. We'll struggle to make 60 in many spots northwest of Boston, even into Monday. Gusty winds will toss young, new leaves and pollen all around. Maybe a few sprinkles will flare up in the chilly air as well.

Recovery expected next week...but it's slow.

Patience. Summer isn't here yet.
