Though no charges have been filed, the driver of the truck was taken away from the scene in handcuffs.

A woman was hospitalized Sunday evening after she was pinned by a truck that crashed into a house in Dedham, Massachusetts.

A woman in her 70s was sitting on her couch and watching TV when a truck - occupied by two people - crashed through the home, located on Sprague Street, according to Dedham Fire Department officials.

The woman was taken to an area hospital and is expected to survive, officials said. Firefighters were forced to used the jaws of life to free her after she was pinned.

Turning the gas off in the home was a priority so that no further damage could be done.

"She did a fantastic job, and we just did our job and got her out of there as fast as we could," Deputy Chief James Neilan said.

Needham firefighters assisted on the call.

Firefighters boarded up the home as of 11 p.m. Sunday.
