An incident in Nashua, New Hampshire, prompted a major police response and hourslong shelter-in-place order Wednesday.
Nashua police haven't said what prompted the incident, but noted on social media about 4:30 p.m. that residents in the area around Bellcrest Road no longer had to shelter in place.
The heavy police presence that had been visible in the residential area was expected to continue.
It wasn't immediately clear if anyone was hurt. Police said the incident was contained to a residence.

The Shelter In Place in the area of Bellcrest Rd has been lifted. There is no longer a threat to the public and the incident is under control. The investigation is still ongoing and a police presence will remain in the area until the investigation is completed.
