Firefighters in Boston battled a blaze Wednesday morning in Dorchester that displaced six people and three cats.
The fire was on Weyanoke Street, and photos shared by the Boston Fire Department on social media showed big flames coming from the upper floors of what appears to be a residential building.

Fire concerns have been high in Massachusetts recently amid breezy and dry conditions.
By around 10:45 a.m., fire crews had knocked down the heavy fire in the front of the building, but first responders still worked to open the roof for venting.
Damage at the two-family building was estimated at $1.5 million, and a fire official said the back door exits were blocked, trapping the landlord inside — he had to be rescued by a ladder.
One firefighter was taken to the hospital with burns sustained during the rescue.
