An Amber Alert that was issued Thursday night after a 3-year-old girl and her mother were abducted from Saco, Maine, earlier in the day has been canceled after the pair were found safe, state police said.
The Amber Alert was issued around 10 p.m. Thursday, as state police said they were searching for 3-year-old Angie Rodondi and 35-year-old Norma Rodondi Jimbikt, who live in the Biddeford area.
Both were forced into a white Ford Explorer with New York plates by a male suspect around 11:30 a.m., police said. The vehicle reportedly crossed into New York at 3:41 p.m.
State police sent an update via email around 12:40 a.m. Friday saying only that the mother and daughter had been safely located. No further details were immediately available.
