A 70-year-old woman died at the scene Wednesday morning after being struck by an SUV in Bath, Maine.
Investigators are attempting to notify her family at this time, therefore her name has not yet been released.
The driver of the Chevy Trailblazer remained on the scene. He'd been identified as Edward Buzzell, 57, of Bath.
Initial indications are that Buzzell was traveling north on Washington St. The Bath Iron Works employee was crossing Washington St. towards her place of work by Union St. in a crosswalk when she was struck by Buzzell.
The case is currently under investigation; no charges have been filed at this time.
Buzzell is also an employee with Bath Iron Works.
