A Maine man is charged with attacking his 73-year-old grandmother.
Police say 33-year-old Jeffrey Paquette had been living with Carol Nadeau at the time of the attack, according to necn affiliate WCSH.
Authorities say Paquette got mad Thursday night when his grandmother refused to call his estranged girlfriend, whom he cannot have contact with.
Paquette is currently out on bail for two separate domestic violence incidents.
Police say he pushed his grandmother to the ground, where she struck her head. He then proceeded to punch her in the face several times, and choke her.
Nadeau was later transported to Maine General Medical Center, where she was later released to her family.
Paquette is being held without bail at the Kennebec County Sheriff's Office.
