Police Seek ‘Dangerous' Man Wanted on Domestic Assault Charges

Baillargeon says Albert is armed and that the public shouldn't approach him

Police in Maine say they're searching for a man considered armed and dangerous after an incident at a home in the town of Sabattus.

Town police Chief Gary Baillargeon said Wednesday that 34-year-old Scott Albert, of Sabattus, is wanted on charges of domestic violence assault, domestic violence reckless conduct and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

Baillargeon says Albert is armed and that the public shouldn't approach him.

Officers had arrived at the home just before 10 a.m. Wednesday. The victim told police that Albert assaulted her Tuesday night.

Police say officers weren't able to contact Albert. Baillargeon says it's unclear whether he was inside the home. State police searched the residence around 7:30 p.m. and didn't locate him.
