One person is dead after a shooting in Boston's Mattapan neighborhood early Sunday morning, Boston police said.
Officers responded to the area of Cummins Highway and Rexford Street at around 1:05 a.m. for a report of a person shot, and found a man suffering from gunshot wounds, officials said.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified Monday as Mitchell Felix Duru, 23, from Jamaica Plain.
There was no word on any arrests.
