Police have identified a Claremont, New Hampshire, man who died after a tree fell on his car during a strong storm.
Police Capt. Mark Chase says 24-year-old Kyle LeClair was driving west on Chestnut Street at around 7:25 p.m. Sunday. Wind and debris from the storm caused a limb to snap off a large pine tree and crash down onto his vehicle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A witness told The Valley News that she was outside cleaning the back of her van when she saw the limb fall from the tree. She says it happened "in an instant."
Chase says there was no sign of speeding or other driver-related issues; it seems to be a tragic accident.
