2 Store Fires Determined To Be Arson

Both fires occurred early Monday morning in Falmouth, Mass.

The state fire marshal’s office says at least one of two overnight blazes that hit businesses in Falmouth, Massachusetts, was arson.

The state fire marshal's office says two fires that hit businesses in Falmouth, Massachusetts, early Monday have been determined to have been intentionally set.

The first fire occurred at 12:50 a.m. and destroyed the building at 12 Spring Bars Rd., that housed the Fabric Corner. The second fire happened across the street at the Dollar Tree store in a strip mall at 7 Davis Straits around 1:20 a.m.

No injuries were reported in either blaze.

The investigation now becomes a criminal one as police work to determine who started the fires, and whether or not they are connected.
