Two Boston Police officers have been placed on leave following allegations of sexual harassment.
The Boston Globe reported that 57-year-old Capt. Timothy Murray and 54-year-old Lt. Stephen Cawley have been on leave since Monday. Boston Police has confirmed to necn that the details in that report are accurate.
Murray has been with the department since 1983. Cawley has been an officer in Boston since 1986.
The Globe reported that Murray made $361,000 last year, one of the highest salaries on the department's payroll, and earned the George L. Hanna Medal of Honor for bravery during a 2004 home invasion response in Dorchester.
Cawley was suspended back in 2000 after he admitted that he "left his assignment to engage in sexual conduct," the Globe wrote.
