A Boston man was ordered to be held without bail on Wednesday, more than a year after police say he committed a murder.
Officers arrested 30-year-old Victor Arrington Tuesday and charged him in the killing of 37-year-old Richard Long.
Officers found Long's body in March of last year inside a home on Harvard Street in the Dorchester neighborhood.
Police arrived to find a fire had been set on the first floor of the residence. They then discovered Long suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.
Arrington's next court date is Aug. 9 and is being represented by attorney E. Peter Parker.
The incident remains under investigation.
