A former employee at Harvard University has pleaded guilty to charges he used his employee credit card for more than $80,000 in personal purchases.
The MetroWest Daily News reports Shawn Bunn of Waltham was sentenced Monday to two years in prison after entering the plea to larceny, false entry in corporate books and uttering of forged documents.
Bunn worked in a computer lab at the Cambridge school for 17 years. Authorities say the 45-year-old bought multiple Apple products through a university purchasing program that he billed to Harvard for personal use.
A review by the school's finance department found hundreds of unauthorized purchases on Bunn's Harvard credit card.
Authorities say a search of his home and office found televisions, "Star Wars"-themed Lego sets, iPads and other items.
