An elderly woman drove her car into a Massachusetts river Monday afternoon, officials confirm.
According to the Taunton Fire Department, the call came in around 1:30 p.m. for a car into the river. When crews arrived, they say they rescued the elderly woman from the car as it was in the water.
The woman was taken to Morton Hospital for a head injury, fire officials say.
The woman said she swerved to avoid another car, according to Taunton Fire.
