Republican Charlie Baker has named his selection for chief of staff when he becomes governor of Massachusetts in January.
Steven Kadish, who served as senior vice president and chief operating officer of Northeastern University, will serve under Baker.
"I am honored to serve Governor-elect Baker," said Kadish in a press release. "Matching the next governor's enthusiasm, experience and drive will not be easy, but as the transition process moves forward, I know Baker's team will be ready to hit the ground running in January."
Kadish's experience also includes a position as executive vice president and chief financial officer at Dartmouth College. Additionally, he worked for Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, which Baker led.
