A Boston man was arrested last week for allegedly trafficking nearly 50 grams of heroin, Chelmsford Police Chief James Spinney announced Monday.
On June 26, officers responded to reports of a suspicious male at the Radisson Hotel on Independence Drive around 7 a.m. Police discovered four men in the suspect's room, as well as approximately 47 grams of heroin, 12 grams of cocaine, and $2,276 in cash.
Joshua Jefferson, 31, was arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking and possession with the intent to distribute.
Two of the men were also arrested on outstanding warrants out of Lowell District and all three were charged with knowingly being present where heroin is kept.
All four suspects will be arraigned in Lowell District Court.
