A Boston man was convicted on March 18 by a federal judge in connection with a scheme to illegally transport guns into Massachusetts.
41-year-old Shayne Parker of Dorchester was convicted of interstate transportation of firearms and being a felon in possession of 50 rounds of ammunition after a five-day trial.
An investigation in the spring of 2014 uncovered a scheme in which firearms were bought in stores in New Hampshire and were transported to Massachusetts for sale on the streets.
The statutes of the charges each provide a sentence of no greater than 10 years in prison, three years of supervised release, and a fine of $250,000.
His sentencing is scheduled for June 10, 2016.
